User Agreements
To ensure ethical, secure, and responsible use of data within the NeuroHIV Data Ecosystem, all users are required to review and agree to our formal User Agreements. These agreements outline the rights, responsibilities, and expectations for both data contributors and data users, and are designed to uphold the ecosystem’s commitments to the FAIR, TRUST, and CARE principles.
We currently provide two distinct agreements:
- Data Access Agreement: Required for individuals or institutions seeking to access datasets within the ecosystem. This agreement outlines terms of use, data privacy protections, citation requirements, and conditions for responsible data handling.
- Data Submission Agreement: Required for researchers or organizations contributing data to the ecosystem. This agreement covers data quality standards, metadata requirements, intellectual property considerations, and responsibilities related to participant privacy and consent.
In addition; all users, whether accessing or contributing data, must submit documentation confirming completion of Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) Certification training from an accredited institution or program. This ensures that all participants in the ecosystem are equipped with a foundational understanding of ethical research practices.
Please review and upload the appropriate agreement(s) and certification before proceeding with data access or submission. These documents are intended to promote transparency, accountability, and mutual trust across the research community. Once completed and signed; to submit your materials, please navigate to your user profile, select "Edit," and upload the completed user agreement(s) and RCR certification in the designated section(s).
